Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce comprehensive EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify hazards
- Lead emergency response planning and incident investigations
- Design and deliver engaging EHS training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and environmental monitoring programs
- Analyze EHS data to implement corrective actions and track KPIs
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies during audits and ensure compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- OSHA 30-hour certification and/or CSP/CHRM credentials
- Expertise in Texas environmental regulations (TCEQ) and federal standards
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and trend reporting
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional leadership
