Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs including incident prevention, emergency response, and waste management protocols
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Manage regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ, OSHA)
  • Lead safety training initiatives for employees across all departments, including hazardous materials handling and spill response
  • Oversee environmental monitoring programs including air quality, water sampling, and hazardous waste disposal
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and maintain accurate EHS documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, energy, or industrial sectors
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and/or CSP/CHRM credentials preferred
  • Proficiency with EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Enablon) and regulatory reporting tools
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations with proven compliance track record
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences and present complex information clearly
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple facility sites (up to 20%)
