Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs including incident prevention, emergency response, and waste management protocols
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Manage regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ, OSHA)
- Lead safety training initiatives for employees across all departments, including hazardous materials handling and spill response
- Oversee environmental monitoring programs including air quality, water sampling, and hazardous waste disposal
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and maintain accurate EHS documentation
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate sustainability goals into business operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, energy, or industrial sectors
- OSHA 30-hour certification and/or CSP/CHRM credentials preferred
- Proficiency with EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Enablon) and regulatory reporting tools
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations with proven compliance track record
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences and present complex information clearly
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple facility sites (up to 20%)
