Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Lead environmental compliance initiatives including waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Manage hazardous materials documentation, permitting, and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles
- Analyze EHS data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- OSHA 30-hour certification and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations, DOT hazmat compliance, and waste management
- Strong proficiency with EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple environmental permits and regulatory reporting
- Experience developing emergency response plans and conducting tabletop exercises
