As a key member of our leadership team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional departments to integrate EHS principles into business processes. You'll conduct risk assessments, manage emergency response protocols, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring passion for safety excellence and a proven track record of reducing workplace incidents while maintaining regulatory compliance in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Conduct regular safety audits and environmental monitoring across multiple facilities
- Manage hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and pollution prevention initiatives
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across shifts
- Prepare and submit regulatory compliance reports to state and federal agencies
- Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction and resource conservation
- Oversee emergency response planning and crisis management protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- OSHA 501 certification and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
- Proven expertise with EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA)
- Advanced knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Strong data analytics skills with experience in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
- Texas-based EHS management experience required
