Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct workplace audits and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air quality monitoring, and environmental permit compliance
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management drills
- Track KPIs and prepare executive reports on safety performance and environmental metrics
- Mentor junior EHS staff and promote continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, energy, or heavy industryCSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification required
- Expert knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR standards, EPA regulations, and TCEQ requirements
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP)
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex environmental data
- OSHA 501 certification and Hazwoper training preferred
