Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage critical patients in the ICU using advanced hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Administer complex medications and perform specialized procedures (arterial lines, ventilator management)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists
- Document patient care with precision using Epic EMR system
- Provide family education during high-stress situations
- Mentor new nurses through our residency program
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred) from accredited nursing program
- Current Illinois RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in acute care setting
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking skills during emergency situations
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
