As a key member of our sustainability team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop innovative EHS strategies. This role offers the opportunity to shape safety culture while advancing our commitment to zero-incident operations and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Conduct routine facility safety audits and environmental impact assessments
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for near-misses and actual occurrences
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous materials inventory, storage, and disposal protocols
- Ensure compliance with federal (EPA, TCEQ) and local environmental regulations
- Monitor air/water quality metrics and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CSP/CHMM credentials preferred
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Demonstrated success developing safety culture transformation programs
- Strong knowledge of EPA regulations and waste management protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
