Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct regular facility audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for employees and contractors on hazardous materials handling, emergency response, and regulatory compliance
- Manage environmental compliance including waste stream characterization, air permits, and spill prevention protocols
- Analyze EHS performance data using software tools to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS principles into project planning and operational processes
- Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices through ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM, or CIH) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing safety management systems
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (TCEQ, EPA, OSHA)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences and influence stakeholders
- Proven track record in incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies
