Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific regulations
- Conduct facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Deliver engaging safety training sessions for diverse workforces including hazardous materials handling and emergency response
- Manage environmental compliance including waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention protocols
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation and prepare regulatory reports for federal and state agencies
- Lead safety committees and drive continuous improvement initiatives using safety management systems
- Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- OSHA 30-hour certification and/or CSP/CHMM credentials preferred
- Expert knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations and safety standards
- Strong experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train and influence at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP) and data analytics
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites
