Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Conduct regular facility audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Oversee hazardous material handling, waste disposal, and emergency response protocols
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage environmental compliance monitoring including air/water quality and spill prevention
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Prepare regulatory reports for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA agencies
- Drive continuous improvement through EHS metrics tracking and KPI analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years EHS experience in manufacturing, oil/gas, or heavy industry
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CHMM or CSP credentials preferred
- Expert knowledge of EPA, TCEQ, and DOT regulations
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (SAP EHS, Intelex, or similar)
- Strong data analysis skills with experience developing safety dashboards
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) designation a plus
- Excellent communication skills for training leadership and frontline teams
