Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigation strategies
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain crisis management protocols
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air permits, and environmental monitoring systems
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across 3 sites
- Maintain regulatory compliance documentation and prepare for third-party audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- OSHA 501 certification and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ)
- Advanced proficiency in safety management software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP)
- Demonstrated experience with industrial hygiene monitoring and PPE programs
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven safety improvement track record
- Exceptional communication abilities for training and stakeholder engagement
