What You'll Achieve:
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs exceeding OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions to achieve zero workplace injuries
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental sustainability metrics
- Mentor cross-functional teams on safety protocols and environmental best practices
- Manage EHS budgets and resources for maximum impact
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily EHS operations across 3 manufacturing facilities and 200+ employees
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and air/water quality compliance programs
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives
- Implement safety training programs achieving 95%+ employee participation
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain compliance documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment safety design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years EHS management experience in manufacturing/industrial settings
- OSHA 501 & 600 certifications required
- Proven track record reducing incident rates by 30%+
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA) and TCEQ requirements
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) preferred
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems implementation
- Strong data analysis skills using EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
