Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple sites
- Manage hazardous waste disposal protocols and environmental permit renewals
- Deliver targeted safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification
- Proven track record in implementing ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP programs
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA) and state-level environmental codes
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Exceptional communication skills for training diverse audiences and regulatory reporting
