Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
  • Lead hazardous waste management programs including RCRA compliance and spill prevention planning
  • Conduct industrial hygiene audits and air quality monitoring across 15+ operational sites
  • Oversee safety training initiatives including confined space entry and HAZWOPER certification
  • Manage regulatory reporting for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA compliance requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using leading/lagging EHS metrics analysis
  • Coordinate emergency response protocols and crisis management procedures
  • Mentor EHS specialists and foster a culture of proactive safety consciousness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 8+ years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM designation required
  • Expertise in EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record in implementing successful behavioral safety programs
  • Advanced data analysis skills with EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
  • Strong incident investigation experience with root cause analysis methodologies
  • OSHA 501 trainer certification or equivalent safety training credentials
