Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead hazardous waste management programs including RCRA compliance and spill prevention planning
- Conduct industrial hygiene audits and air quality monitoring across 15+ operational sites
- Oversee safety training initiatives including confined space entry and HAZWOPER certification
- Manage regulatory reporting for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA compliance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using leading/lagging EHS metrics analysis
- Coordinate emergency response protocols and crisis management procedures
- Mentor EHS specialists and foster a culture of proactive safety consciousness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM designation required
- Expertise in EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record in implementing successful behavioral safety programs
- Advanced data analysis skills with EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong incident investigation experience with root cause analysis methodologies
- OSHA 501 trainer certification or equivalent safety training credentials
