Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Conduct facility audits and air/waste sampling to ensure regulatory compliance
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous materials permitting and emergency response protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process safety management (PSM) systems
- Prepare regulatory reports for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM certification required
- Expertise in OSHA, EPA, and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Demonstrated success leading behavioral-based safety programs
- Strong data analysis skills for trend identification and risk forecasting
