Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Conduct regular facility audits and ensure compliance with local/state/federal requirements
- Manage hazardous waste programs and emergency response protocols
- Drive employee safety training programs with 95%+ participation rates
- Analyze EHS data trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with operations teams to integrate safety into daily workflows
- Represent company in regulatory audits and community environmental initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification required
- Expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations
- Proven track record implementing successful EHS management systems
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- OSHA 30-hour and HAZWOPER certifications
- Excellent communication skills for training diverse audiences
