Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to patients in emergency situations, including trauma assessment, stabilization, and intervention
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions using advanced monitoring equipment
- Educate patients and families on emergency procedures and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for emergency care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stress environments
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
