Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct facility audits, risk assessments, and root cause analyses for incidents
- Lead safety training initiatives including hazardous materials handling and emergency response
- Manage environmental compliance including waste management, air permits, and spill prevention
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using KPIs and EHS software platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational planning
- Represent company during regulatory inspections and maintain compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7 years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM certification required
- Expert knowledge of federal/state EHS regulations and reporting requirements
- Proven track record in developing safety cultures and reducing incident rates
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software and data analysis tools
- Strong leadership skills with ability to influence all organizational levels
