Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
- Conduct regular facility audits and safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air quality permits, and environmental reporting
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process safety management (PSM) programs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using EHS KPIs and data analytics
- Ensure emergency preparedness plans are current and effectively tested
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification
- Advanced knowledge of Texas environmental regulations (TCEQ) and federal compliance
- Proven track record in developing successful safety culture initiatives
- Strong data analysis skills with EHS software proficiency (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional leadership and regulatory engagement
