Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead regulatory compliance initiatives for EPA, TCEQ, and federal environmental regulations
- Conduct facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations with root cause analysis
- Design and deliver employee training programs covering hazardous materials, emergency response, and sustainability practices
- Oversee waste management programs, air/water quality monitoring, and pollution prevention initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS principles into operational workflows
- Manage EHS documentation, reporting, and performance metrics using digital platforms like Enablon
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and proactive hazard mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 5 years progressive EHS management experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- OSHA 501 certification and CHST/CMSP credentials preferred
- Proven expertise with EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Air/Water Acts)
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (SAP EHS, Intelex, or similar platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to lead change management and safety culture transformation
- Strong analytical skills with experience developing KPIs and dashboards
- Texas EHS license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
