Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Conduct facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards
- Oversee hazardous waste management programs and environmental compliance reporting
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage regulatory relationships with EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA authorities
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives
- Drive sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and carbon footprint tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of EHS management experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Professional certification (CSP, CHMM, or CIH) required
- Advanced knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, TCEQ)
- Proven experience implementing successful safety culture transformations
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in EHS software platforms
- Exceptional communication abilities for training diverse stakeholders
