Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations across multiple industrial sites
- Design and deliver employee safety training programs with focus on hazardous materials handling
- Oversee environmental compliance programs including air/water permits, waste management, and spill prevention
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new projects
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain compliance documentation for federal/state agencies
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of EHS management experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CHMM or CSP certification required
- Proven expertise with OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations
- Advanced data analysis skills for safety metrics and trend identification
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Cority, Enablon)
- OSHA 30-hour and HAZWOPER certifications
