Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage environmental compliance including waste management, air permits, and spill prevention
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain accurate EHS documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into operational processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7 years EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM designation required
- Expert knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (TCEQ, EPA)
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Strong data analysis skills with experience developing KPI dashboards
- Proven ability to lead cultural change initiatives in safety-conscious environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
