Join EcoGuard Solutions as our Environmental Health & Safety Manager and lead our commitment to sustainable operations and workplace safety. You'll develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs that align with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards while fostering a culture of environmental stewardship. This pivotal role requires strategic thinking, regulatory expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across our Houston facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute EHS management systems including incident prevention protocols and emergency response plans
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead environmental initiatives focusing on waste reduction, air quality control, and sustainable resource management
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Manage hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with 40 CFR regulations
- Prepare comprehensive EHS reports for executive leadership and regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation required
- Deep expertise in OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EPA regulations, and ISO 14001 standards
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+ through systematic safety programs
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Enviance, Cority)
- Exceptional communication skills for training, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
