In this critical role, you'll develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs across our Houston facilities, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations while fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and workplace safety. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, manage incident investigations, and lead sustainability initiatives that reduce our ecological footprint. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Conduct regular workplace safety audits and environmental compliance inspections
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Manage hazardous waste disposal programs and air/water quality monitoring systems
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct quarterly drills
- Deliver EHS training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Oversee sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction and waste minimization
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to federal and state agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification required
- Expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, and NFPA regulations
- Proven experience developing and implementing safety management systems
- Advanced data analysis skills with EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated ROI on safety initiatives
- OSHA 30-hour and HAZWOPER certifications
