Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct risk assessments for industrial processes, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response protocols
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to implement corrective/preventive actions
- Manage regulatory compliance programs including air/water permits, waste management, and chemical safety
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Coordinate sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction and circular economy projects
- Interface with regulatory agencies (TCEQ, EPA) during audits and permit renewals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential required
- Advanced knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations
- Proven experience developing EHS metrics and dashboards using software like Cority or Enviance
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team management success
- Experience implementing behavioral-based safety programs
