Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and audit comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Manage hazardous materials programs, waste disposal, and emergency response protocols
- Deliver engaging EHS training programs for 500+ employees across diverse operational teams
- Ensure compliance with federal (EPA, OSHA), state (TCEQ), and local environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new projects
- Drive continuous improvement through EHS KPI tracking and data-driven decision making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation required
- Deep expertise in OSHA regulations, EPA compliance, and TCEQ permitting
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful safety management systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Exceptional communication abilities with experience presenting to executive leadership
