Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to implement corrective actions
- Conduct regular facility audits and environmental monitoring for air, water, and soil quality
- Manage hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal protocols
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Oversee regulatory reporting for EPA, TCEQ, and other governing bodies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using EHS software platforms
- Collaborate with leadership on sustainability goals and carbon reduction strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential
- Expertise in OSHA, EPA, and Texas state regulatory requirements
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon, or similar)
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- OSHA 500/501 instructor certification preferred
