Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
  • Lead hazardous material handling, waste minimization, and air/water quality monitoring programs
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments, industrial hygiene audits, and process safety management (PSM) evaluations
  • Manage regulatory compliance for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA requirements with zero-incident reporting
  • Design and deliver engaging safety training programs including HAZWOPER, confined space, and emergency response
  • Investigate incidents, root-cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Oversee environmental permitting, spill prevention, and sustainability reporting initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, or heavy industry
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials required
  • Advanced expertise in EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA), OSHA 1910 standards, and TCEQ compliance
  • Proven experience managing hazardous waste programs and SPCC/Stormwater compliance
  • Strong data analytics skills using EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon, or ProcessMAP)
  • OSHA 500/501 trainer certification and 40-hour HAZWOPER training
