- Champion sustainability initiatives
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ISO 14001-compliant environmental management systems
- Conduct OSHA inspections and ensure adherence to federal/state regulations
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) processes
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and air quality monitoring programs
- Coordinate emergency response drills and crisis management protocols
- Train employees on PPE usage, chemical handling, and spill response
- Prepare monthly EHS performance reports for executive leadership
- Oversee sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- OSHA 30-hour and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations and TCEQ compliance standards
- Proficiency with EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP)
- Strong experience conducting industrial hygiene assessments
- OSHA VPP Star program implementation experience preferred
- Excellent written communication for regulatory documentation
