Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategies to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the incident reporting process, including thorough investigations and root cause analysis.
- Facilitate high-impact safety training programs for all levels of staff, from shop floor to management.
- Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, hazardous materials handling, and emissions monitoring.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety protocols seamlessly into production workflows.
- Maintain all required EHS documentation and prepare annual reports for regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS role.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven safety performance tracking.
