Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Policy Development: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) management system (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
  • Compliance Management: Monitor and ensure strict adherence to local, national, and international environmental and safety regulations.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead thorough investigations into accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Training & Awareness: Design and deliver engaging safety training programs to ensure all employees are competent and aware of their responsibilities.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new projects and operational processes to mitigate hazards before they arise.
  • Auditing: Manage internal and external audits to verify compliance and drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and CMIOSH (Chartered Member of IOSH) status is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, environmental legislation, and industrial hygiene practices.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex safety data to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
