Responsibilities
- Architect and execute end-to-end transportation strategies across rail, road, and maritime channels to optimize lead times.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with 3PL providers and carrier partners to ensure competitive pricing and service reliability.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and IoT tracking solutions.
- Manage a multi-million dollar logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities through route optimization and modal shifting.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and supply chain analysts.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with DOT regulations, international customs, and environmental sustainability standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business (MBA or Master's degree highly preferred).
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale, multi-modal distribution networks in North America.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or proprietary TMS platforms and data visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of driving significant cost reductions.
- Professional certification such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
