Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced security controls for federal networks and systems
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across IT infrastructure
- Lead incident response activities, including threat detection, containment, and recovery operations
- Develop and enforce security policies aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on cybersecurity investigations and threat intelligence sharing
- Provide cybersecurity training and guidance to department personnel
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and prioritize remediation actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with federal or public sector exposure
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
