Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST frameworks and federal regulations
- Conduct threat assessments and risk analyses for critical infrastructure sectors
- Coordinate interagency cybersecurity initiatives and public-private partnerships
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Represent DHS in cybersecurity working groups and international forums
- Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Advise on compliance with FISMA, CUI, and other security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, public policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity policy experience in government or regulated sectors
- Expertise in NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FISMA, and CUI regulations
- Active CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and threat intelligence analysis
- Strong understanding of critical infrastructure protection priorities
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
