Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in 16-bed ICU unit
- Implement evidence-based clinical protocols for ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with physicians, specialists, and support staff
- Utilize Epic EHR for precise documentation and real-time patient data analysis
- Lead rapid response interventions during acute clinical deteriorations
- Mentor junior nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide family-centered education during complex medical situations
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license with unrestricted active status
- BSN degree (MSN or DNP candidates strongly preferred)
- Minimum 3 years ICU or progressive care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Demonstrated experience with electronic health record systems
- Strong communication skills for high-stakes family interactions
