Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill patients in a 20-bed ICU unit
- Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer life-saving medications and interventions with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on critical care procedures and recovery processes
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue emergencies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree with 2+ years ICU experience (preferred)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (mandatory)
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
