Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in a 24-bed ICU unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer complex medications and perform precise titrations per protocol
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Lead rapid response interventions and emergency resuscitation efforts
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with meticulous documentation
- Mentor new staff and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (or compact state)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- 3+ years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications mandatory
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR system
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and teams
