Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in 20-bed ICU
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ECG rhythms, and ventilator parameters
- Administer complex medications and perform specialized procedures (arterial lines, central lines)
- Collaborate in rapid response team activations and code blue situations
- Document patient assessments and interventions using Epic EMR system
- Provide patient/family education on critical care conditions and treatments
- Mentor new nurses and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license (required)
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years critical care experience in Level I trauma center
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR and ICU documentation systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
