Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for critically ill patients in the cardiac ICU setting
- Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer precise medications and interventions per physician protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health records
