Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate governance structures and board compliance matters
- Lead due diligence and contract negotiations for M&A transactions
- Develop and implement regulatory compliance frameworks
- Manage intellectual property portfolios and patent/trademark filings
- Provide legal guidance on data privacy and cybersecurity initiatives
- Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and litigation
- Mentor junior legal staff and oversee contract management systems
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from ABA-accredited institution
- 7+ years corporate law experience in financial services sector
- Active NY State Bar membership and in good standing
- Expertise in SEC regulations and FINRA compliance
- Proven transactional experience with complex M&A deals
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in legal research platforms (Westlaw/Lexis)
- Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
