Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate governance, securities regulations, and SEC compliance for high-growth startups
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, and partnership arrangements
- Manage intellectual property portfolios including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets
- Lead M&A due diligence and integration processes for technology-driven transactions
- Develop scalable compliance frameworks for international data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
- Provide strategic legal guidance during fundraising rounds and capital raises
- Mentor junior legal staff and drive continuous improvement in legal operations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA-accredited law school with admission to Massachusetts Bar
- 5+ years of corporate law experience at top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
- Deep expertise in fintech regulations, SEC compliance, and corporate finance
- Proven track record in drafting technology agreements and IP protection strategies
- Experience managing cross-border transactions and international regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex legal concepts into business strategies
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to balance risk mitigation and commercial objectives
- Proficiency with legal tech platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and contract lifecycle management tools
