Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough psychosocial evaluations to understand client needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Direct Clinical Services: Provide one-on-one counseling and therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities tailored to individual client needs.
- Case Management: Coordinate services with healthcare providers, legal aid, and family members to ensure holistic support for clients.
- Group Facilitation: Lead support groups and psychoeducational workshops focused on stress management, grief, and recovery.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other social workers to ensure integrated care delivery.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to urgent mental health crises and provide stabilization techniques.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current LCSW, LMSW, or LCSW-C license in New York State.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in mental health or social services.
- Specialization: Experience in trauma-informed care and diverse populations is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills; proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional empathy, active listening skills, and cultural competence.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
