Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough psychosocial evaluations to determine the needs of patients and families, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the clinical team.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct clinical services including individual therapy, family therapy, and group counseling sessions.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to acute mental health crises and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid New York State LCSW or LMSW license required.
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical social work, preferably in a mental health or community health setting.
- Specialization: Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Computer Proficiency: Must be proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
