Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular assessments and implement advanced nursing interventions for critically ill patients
- Lead rapid response teams during cardiac emergencies and code blue situations
- Develop and execute personalized patient care plans incorporating cutting-edge cardiac technologies
- Mentor nursing staff on cardiovascular best practices and procedural competencies
- Collaborate with cardiologists and surgeons to optimize perioperative care pathways
- Participate in cardiovascular research initiatives and clinical trials
- Conduct patient/family education on cardiac health management and disease prevention
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Cardiovascular specialization
- Current Minnesota RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in acute cardiac care
- Certified Cardiovascular Nurse (CCRN) credential required
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiac life support
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership in interdisciplinary care coordination
- Published research or quality improvement projects in cardiovascular nursing
