Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions including post-op recovery and acute interventions
- Administer specialized cardiac medications and monitor telemetry data for arrhythmia detection
- Lead rapid response team activations during cardiac emergencies
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans using evidence-based practices
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care with cardiologists, surgeons, and rehabilitation specialists
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Document patient encounters with precision in Epic EMR systems
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Cardiovascular specialization or BSN + 3+ years critical care experience
- Current RN license in Minnesota with ACLS, BLS, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices
- Demonstrated expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Strong critical thinking skills for rapid decision-making in high-acuity situations
- Excellent communication abilities for patient education and team collaboration
