Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vitals and response to treatment, escalating concerns to physicians immediately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient records and care activities.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Acute Care setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree accepted with relevant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
