Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures with optimal clinical outcomes.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, nurses, and medical residents.
- Develop and implement innovative clinical pathways for perioperative patient management.
- Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesiology, and ICU teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Lead departmental morbidity and mortality reviews to maintain the highest standards of safety.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Represent the hospital in professional medical forums and community outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic or Cardiac Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in high-volume cardiac surgery centers.
- Proven track record in surgical leadership and team management.
- Exceptional communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Demonstrated proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
- Experience with robotic-assisted cardiac surgery is highly preferred.
