Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Go and Kubernetes in AWS/GCP environments
- Mentor 3-5 engineers through pair programming and architectural reviews
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization achieving 95%+ deployment success rate
- Develop GraphQL APIs with Apollo Federation serving 10k+ requests/sec
- Champion DevOps practices via Terraform infrastructure-as-code
- Contribute to open-source projects with quarterly release contributions
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in distributed systems with 2+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in Go, Python, or Java with demonstrated proficiency in concurrency
- Proven track record deploying production systems on Kubernetes (>500 nodes)
- Strong background in event-driven architectures using Kafka or NATS
- Advanced knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
- Experience with cloud cost optimization techniques (FinOps)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
