Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-availability microservices using Go/Python/Kubernetes
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Architect secure payment processing systems compliant with PCI-DSS
- Mentor 3+ engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Drive technical debt reduction while maintaining rapid feature delivery
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Contribute to open-source projects and publish technical blogs
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in production-level backend development
- Expertise in distributed systems (gRPC, event-driven architecture)
- Strong grasp of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) with Terraform/CloudFormation
- Proven track record scaling systems to 10M+ users
- Proficiency in performance optimization and database tuning (PostgreSQL/Redis)
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Open-source contributions or published technical papers preferred
